Standard Biocarbon is looking to hire an Operations Engineer with an aptitude for warehouse machinery and can learn quickly on the job. The Operations Engineer will report to the General Manager and be supporting the operations team. Our facility in Enfield is designed for 24/7 operation and applicants will be expected to work several 12-hour shifts each week.

Responsibilities
• Assist the General Manager during the installation of the various equipment at the site
• Participate in the commissioning and startup of the plant
• Become thoroughly familiar with all aspects of the SBC Facility and all the equipment in the system
• Operate the SBC Facility during several shifts each week. The plant is designed for 24/7 operation. This may include operating a tractor trailer and other mobile equipment
• Keep records of the operations details during each shift and report to the General Manager
• Comply with all Health & Safety requirements and OSHA Regulations
• Report any incidents to the General Manager
• Be available for emergency response even when not on duty
• Participate in periodic management calls and meetings
• Perform other assigned tasks such as industrial safety program activities, routing maintenance tasks, housekeeping and general facility preservation, etc.
• Respond quickly to plant conditions or requirements, which may involve extended and/or abnormal work hours
• Assist in developing and refining operational policies and procedures
• Assist in identifying and implementing plant or profit improvement projects

Qualifications
• Experience in an industrial setting
• Knowledge of or ability to learn operating mobile equipment
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, sometimes nights and weekends
