Organic and regenerative farming

Biochar restores overworked, compacted and nonproductive soils. It creates a healthy soil biome and retains moisture and organic nutrients improving productivity. Biodynamic and regenerative growers have been using biochar for decades. Contact us to find out why!

Carbon Soil USDA NRCS Code 336 program

A new soil carbon program launched by the USDA/NRCS has been adopted for the use of amendments derived from plant or animal residues to improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. Farmers will  be reimbursed for the application of up to four yards of biochar per acre.

Soil conditioning and decontamination on farms and orchards

Biochar helps to bind and render inert heavy metals, herbicides, insecticides, PFAS/PFOS and other contaminants prelevant on farms and orchards. Biochar’s unique properties for remediating heavy metal and organic contaminants include its large surface area, porosity, CEC, pH, hydrophobicity, and polarity, which can be controlled through feedstock selection, feedstock blending, pyrolysis temperature and post production processing.
